Okemos, Age 8 of Bend, OR

He didn’t really catch this rabbit. He’s a slow-movin, older malamute. A friend made the comment, “I don’t know….Okemos could never catch a rabbit, looks like that rabbit ran into his mouth.”

So this isn’t a story about my own pet but I still wanted to share it with everyone because it’s an incredibly endearing story about two men who bought a lion cub from Harrod’s in London in the 70’s. They released it in Africa once it got too big and were reunited a year later. It’s just a really incredible story about the bond formed between a wild creature and humans.
